SummarySebring is the final installment in Kristen Ashley's Unfinished Hero collection. Nick Sebring is Knight's younger brother. What did I think?
I hate to be the bad fangirl here, but this one was simply average for me. Why you ask? Well, two reasons..
1. This story was more a narration of scenes versus an experience of scenes. I kept waiting for something in which I was privy to read as it unfolded, but was left short. Most events were recounted and that left me frustrated.
2. I'll go ahead and be frank about my next issue. There was (GASP!) too much sex. I'm definitely the last person to shy from an exceptional amount of sex in books, but this was overdone. They have morning sex, after dinner sex, after dinner sex sex, which would be fine, but none of it is skimmed over. Each day we get to read through their routine in detail. Needless to say, it became monotonous to read and as a result, the book dragged.
Moving forward from the critical aspects of the story, there were some aspects I thoroughly enjoyed.
1. Knight.. Knight plays a significant role throughout the book and I loved every minute of it. He enlists the help of his team and we are once again reunited with Sylvie, Raid, Deacon and their lovers. And really, what's not to love about that?
2. I ended up liking Nick a great deal. I definitely accepted the turn around with his character. He says the sweetest things. And panties all over the world melt when he gets all sexy..
“You mean more to me today than you did yesterday.” Her lips parted and her eyes got bright a different way. “And yesterday you meant a fu*kuva lot to me,” he finished.”
3. My favorite thing about this book is the brotherly love between Nick and Knight. I think my heart flew out of my chest a few times.
"But one thing you do still gotta learn is, when it’s family, Nick, there’s a limit to the shlt I’ll eat. But there is no limit to the love I’ll give.”
**
"Knight grinned and turned.
He was almost out the door when Nick called his name.
He had men out there, Bernadette.
He didn’t care.
“Just so you know, love you too.”"
Anyway, finishing up here.. I have read 37 Kristen Ashley books and am a huge fan. Despite my average reception of this read, I positively recommend Ms Ashley and she remains a one click author for me. I would recommend you read this book as a conclusion to her anti-hero series, but I wouldn't necessarily put everything on hold to do that.
Please keep in mind, this is book 5 of a series and it should be read in order.

Sebring The Unfinished Heroes Series Book 5 edition by Kristen Ashley Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
First let me say that I wanted to love this book. I've been a fan of Kristen's for years, I own ALL her books, but there seems to be an ongoing trend with her. I thought that this book was ok.
Here are a few issues I have -
1. I read someone else put up that there was too much sex, usually those types of reviews I take with a grain of salt as everyone's views and takes are different. This is supposed to be the alpha/dom series, so I get it, but I would have to say, that this has way too much sex. There is no plot, because every third page this couple is at it. Not only is the way they get together completely unbelievable, they never even really get to know each other on a basic level and then all of a sudden they are in love. No real reason other than one day they get done and think "wow this person is my other half" (that's an exaggeration, but pretty close in my opinion. Nor do they get to know each other, all the focus of this book is sex, down to the last chapter and epilogue. It was too much.
2. The time stamping - She's done this in a few other books but not to this degree. Every new portion is time stamped. It's distracting and made me feel as if I was reading a fanfic from a new writer. You don't have to constantly say "Saturday 1100pm" then "Sunday 600am".... really?? Why can't she imply it by saying "the next morning when I woke up" like she used to?
3. You ever walk into the middle of a conversation and wondered what was going on? That's how I felt at the beginning of this book. *****SPOILER****** How and what exactly happened between Nick and his former woman? What covert operation? What rescue? WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHAT??? I hate how all the important things that could have made this a great book were thrown into one chapter and we never learned who, what, when and why. Just that it all happened.
4. Now for the trend. The last couple of books that have been a "last" book of the series seem to have nothing but sex on the brain and are totally rushed. And I mean RUSHED. I don't know if she just didn't know how to wrap up the series or what exactly was going on, but it's basically bam ...the end. When you love the series it can be a big let down. I can't figure out if it is because she doesn't know how to end the series and/or she has a deadline now that she has a publisher, and basically is like 'ugh let it end!'
All this said I wanted to love this book, but it was really just ok. I kind of wish I wouldn't have got it because I know I'll never reread it. I've reread almost all the books, I adore the Chaos series, the Magdalene series and the rest of course. But when I read work like this I think, I'm not sure anymore.
